The United States National Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a recall alert for 2012 model year Honda Accord sedans and Honda Crosstour vehicles due to an air bag inflator that was not manufactured to meet specifications and as a result, may fail to deploy the driver’s side or passenger’s side air bags during a collision. According to NHTSA, just under 350 of the Honda vehicles may have an issue with the side curtain air bag inflators and Honda was set to begin to notify the owners of the affected vehicles on February 10, 2012.
